WARRANTY

Warranty coverage and claim procedures vary by product and manufacturer. Scroll down to find the warranty information and instructions that apply to your rug. If you’re unsure which section applies, check the manufacturer listed on the product page.

WHAT IS A WARRANTY CLAIM?

A warranty applies to qualifying performance issues involving the specific protections listed above. It is not a general return policy or a guarantee against every form of damage.

Damage caused during delivery, an incorrect item or a defect visible when the rug arrives should be reported through our Returns & Order Issues process.

Damage caused after delivery by misuse, improper cleaning, accidents, sharp objects, burns, outdoor exposure or alterations may not qualify for warranty coverage.

WHAT A WARRANTY CLAIM COVERS

The Tarkett warranty applies to qualifying manufacturing issues involving the specific protections listed above. It is not a general return policy or a guarantee against every form of wear or damage.

Damage caused during delivery, an incorrect item or a defect visible when the rug arrives should be reported through our Returns & Order Issues process instead.

Coverage does not extend to:

  • Matting and crushing at pivot points and in traffic paths. Regular vacuuming and proper maintenance help minimize this.
  • Fading or discoloration from heavy sunlight or UV exposure, including light filtered through glass.
  • Damage from chair casters. Chair pads are required for full coverage, so plan for one if a rolling desk chair, bar stool or gaming chair lives on your rug.
  • Rugs used on stairs or ramps, or in areas with wheeled or rolling traffic.
  • Use outside an interior, climate-controlled space. Worth keeping in mind for a basement, garage or three-season porch.
  • Damage to or deterioration of serging.
  • Point loads over 150 pounds per square inch.
  • Damage from spiked heels, cleats, skates or similar footwear.
  • Tears, burns, cuts, pulls, soiling or damage caused by abuse, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance or excessive moisture.
  • Damage from bleach or chemicals used to clean nearby hard-surface flooring.
  • Slight color and texture variation between rugs and from sample swatches.
  • Roll marks and edge curl from shipping. Roll marks typically disappear with routine vacuuming, and edge curl can be minimized by carefully rolling the rug in the opposite direction.
